Ingredients:
2 cups plain yogurt
2 stems coriander (cilantro) leaves
1 cup rice
1/4 cup raw peanuts
1 tsp. mustard seeds
1 tsp. cumin seeds
1 tsp. chana dal
1 tsp. urad dal
3-4 dry red chillies
3-4 green chillies
5-6 curry leaves
5 tbsp. vegetable oil
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Cook rice with 2 cups of water and let it cool
2. Chop green chillies and cilantro leaves. Keep them aside
3. Mix the rice with yogurt, green chillies, cilantro and salt.
4. Roast the peanuts.
5. Heat (medium for coils/ sim for gas) oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal, peanuts, red chillies, and curry leaves in the same order. Let the mustard seeds splutter before adding other ingredients.
6. Add this mixture to the already cooked/prepared rice. Mix thoroughly.
